An India Pale Ale, Hair in the Mailbox is bright and hoppy at 6.3% ABV. Color is hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma blends notes of malt, honey, tropical and citrus fruits, light floral tones and lemon zest. The palate is bursting with a blend of orange and pineapple from the hops and warm notes of pine. Body is medium with soft carbonation and both sweet and spicy. Finish is both dry and bitter with light resin and biscuit notes. Easy drinking and great for pairing with burgers or other greasy foods.

Can from M&S Food hall Ashford and drunk at home. Clear gold colour with a thin lasting white head. Pineapple on aroma I think. Some grapefruit. Oh yes, very drinkable indeed. Wow. Good on Mikkeller. Both the Pale Ale and IPA have been outstanding, just so drinkable. Very drinkable. Moderate bitterness on the finish. Slightly sweet. Very good.

330ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Sortland a while ago. Crocheted lacing on the glass. Misty golden body, spotty lacing. Ripe fruity aromas, inviting. Mid-sweet fruity flavours of peaches, pine and oily hops. Bittersweet tail. Fine depth. Decent ipa. (Rating session with djoeye and Finn, Tromsø 14.11.2018).

330 ml. bottle. Orange, creamy white head, low hazy but not haze hazy for sure. Nose is milky yoghurt with passionfruit, candied tropical fruit & sweeter mango. Very milky bodied & taste bit odd but nice with white grape, litchi, mango, sweeter fruit, passionfruit. Nice dash of soap. Tasty for sure, wouldn’t say that this is necessarily their best IPA to choose for a permanent recipe but I suppose they have their reasons.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21A). Can 33 cl - Batch T1 11:32 (BBF 16/01/19). AROMA: medium hop aroma with notes of pineapple, herbaceous and slightly floral. neutral malt background with a slightly sweetness. APPEARANCE: golden color and clear. medium moussy white head with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium notes of hops (grassy, slightly pineapple, mint), followed by a neutral malty-sweet background. medium to medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium-light body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a nice and balanced IPA.
