Bottled. Your standard gold pilsner with some light grassiness. Pretty much what you’d expect.

Golden color, large foaming head. This has all the elements of a good pilsner, but it just doesn’t get there. The malts are dry, hops are omnipresent, fermentation is clean. But there’s a sour tanginess to the malts, a metallic edge to the hop bitterness.

From notes. 12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours amber with some thick white head. Aroma of fermented fruit and yeast. Taste is somewhat fruity but pretty much watered down. Thin texture and fizzy carbonation. Not my favorite Shiner. Hoping 102 will be better.

12oz bottle. Pale yellow-tan color, filtered. Thin, soapy head. Doughy, brewhouse aroma. Straightforward, pretty well done. Some solid noble hops and lager tones. Not spectacular by any means, but still a well executed offering from Shiner.
