Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle, bottled on February 29 2012, poured into a snifter. Black with small beige head. Aroma is anise, medium/thick body, lower carbonation, and a little lacing. Taste is dark chocolate, old coffee, dark malt, some anise, and dry finish. Alcohol is well covered, but not for me.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy but stable tan head. Clear aroma of coffee, roast, malt and chocolate, with notes of fruit. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of dark chocolate and coffee and sweetish touches of malt and caramel. Estery and hoppy hints. Roasty and coffee like aftertaste with slightly fruity hints. Low to medium carbonation. Damn good. Verdoemt goed. :-)

Many thanks to my "EU Santa 2015" MrHangover for this bottle! Intense and voluminous. Dark chocolate, sweet roasted malt. Not much bitterness. Intense and sticky. Roasted brown sugar in the aftertaste. Not much bitterness, nice.

Black with thick tan head. Roasted, raw licorice aroma. Light wood and yeast. Flavour has smooth and solid roasted malt with chocolate and licorice well combined. Bitterness is just about perfect with a little syrupy sweetness to balance. Relatively light yet very powerful.

330ml bottle. Pours an opaque, almost black with plenty of sediment and a small, short lived, brown head. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice and caramel. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, licorice, dark chocolate and coffee with a dry, bitter, warming alcohol finish. Full body with a thick, oily texture and soft carbonation. Excellent.

33 cl. bottle, poured in to a Snifter. bottled in May ’15. Pitch black with a few, tanned bubbles on top. Roasted aroma with dark malts, caramel, dark, bitter chocolate, coffee, dark dried fruits, some tar and burned notes. A strong, herbal bitterness. Taste is bitter-roasted. Full body with an oily texture and a flat carbonation. Finishes long lasting drying and roasted-bitter with rich, dark malts and liquorice. A big, bad roasted Stout...

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours an inky, pitch black with no head. Roasted cacao nibs all over the nose with some light coffee, burned black sugar and dark fruit. Bitter on the palate with a lot of roasted character. Medium body, with a slightly sticky mouthfeel as it warms up. Bitter and roasted flavors on the finish that linger and linger with a bit of warming alcohol. Bold and delicious. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hel & Verdoemenis (Hell & Damnation) on 15 Dec 2015 at 22:36 - Score: 7

Tap at Little Beer Room with Steph and Chingyi. Aroma is huge chocolate soy roasted coffee. Inviting. Taste follows. Nicely bitter but a bit more savory than I like for stouts.
