12 ounce bottle. Pours a nearly murky orange color with a huge foamy white head. Average head retention. Aroma of wheat, perfume notes, earth, citrus. The taste is citrus, spice, wheat. Medium bodied, lingering spice, very dry.

Total Wine, Fairfax: Pours yellow with white head. Aroma is light citrus hops. This is not a hefe. it is a hoppy wheat ale. Is it the worst thing ever? No, not really, but I am not surprised that other people were unpleasantly surprised by this beer.

12oz bottle pours clear deep gold with thin white head. Doesn’t really look like a hefe. The aroma is kind of grainy, kind of earthy meets lime peel and then a cereal note. All of these come together to create a neat aroma. The taste starts with vague hop bitterness, sweet malts and a grainy cereal note. Midway and into the finish the lime like note is joined by floral hops and a lingering vague sort of hop bitterness. Nice.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours lightly hazy darkish gold with a slight white head. Not much in the aroma. Moisture, but anything else? Med body. Flavor is slightly sweet malt. Not wheat for me. Makes me wonder if they got the bottling process confused. It’s also very lightly hoppy. Overall make me thing of a tasteless pale ale. I do like the thickish mouthfeel - which conflicts with medium body - but ? Anyway another beer that causes one to wonder WTF they thought they were doing . At least it is not unpleasant.

Bottle. Lemon peel and light malt aroma. Clear golden yellow with small head. Light wheat malt flavor with moderately bitter finish. No Hefeweizen characteristics - just a wheat ale on the hoppy side.
