12oz bottle scooped up in Columbus. Classic espresso, oily chocolate, sweet aroma. Really balanced. I’m pretty happy to have a well crafted Imperial Stout these days, and not some wacky variation of. This finishes slighty warm, the hops and alcohol have an interesting interplay. Rich sweetness, a lot of malt depth. Vanilla touches. Nice molasses tones. Good stuff.

tap - Pours black with a small tan head. It smells of chocolate malt, roasted coffee, and alcohol. The taste is sweet and full of roast chocolate malt. There’s some booze noticeable but it doesn’t detract from the beer. It’s full bodied and when I had it immediately after some Old Rasputin, I found the Cutter’s to be a little more intense. Both are very good, of course. Well done.

bottle. This is one fantastic Imperial Stout. First I’d heard of this brewery - but they now have my attention. One of the best imperial stouts I’ve had in a while. Serious taste and remarkable palate. Big fan

Bottle. Chocolate, coffee, molasses, oak and alcohol aroma. Dark brown with moderate tan head. Smoky chocolate/molasses malt flavor with a moderately bitter herbal finish. A tad rough but damn tasty.
