Our Dunkle Beer is a Munich style dark lager beer. It has a surprisingly light body with mild roasted flavor and caramel undertones. We use the freshest imported and Domestic barley, Noble hops, and natural water. Best served at 42ºF in a tall beer mug or stein.

12oz bottle. Mildly translucent deep amber-brown body. Thin, soda-like head. Pleasant caramel, chocolate aroma. Medium bodied, true to style. Sublime, easy going. Brown sugar, brown chocolate, caramel. A fresh, solid example of the style.

12 ounce bottle from Belmont Party Supply. Pours a clear dark brown color with a medium sized fizzy tan head that fades very quickly. Aroma of earthy notes, dark malts and the faintest bit of fruitiness. The taste is tart malts, raisins, toffee, dates, cherries. Thin-medium bodied. Solid beer. Quite drinkable.

Sample at the 1st annual Columbus Beerfest on 05/28/10: The beer is a dark brown color with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates steadily. Short strings of lacing. Roasty malt and hops in the nose. Medium, clean body with flavors of toasted malt, hops, and nuts. The finish is roasty with a short nutty malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.
