Schramm's Michigan Apple was made with a carefully selected blend of locally sourced and pressed Michigan apple varieties. The slightly drier, tart notes of the cider blend balance beautifully with the sweetness and body of the honey. This cyser is a tribute to our home state's beautiful fall days and our fine community of fruit growers.

Taster showing golden cider.

The nose shows intense notes of baked apple.

The palate is full bodied and sweet apple forward. Balanced throughout with hints of honey.

375mL bottle drunk 5/9/25.
Clear apple juice with a rich honey tint to it.
Earthy with interesting yeast character and rich but seemingly well-attenuated honey. Apple is very fruity, but not sweet or overpowering. Just some tartness on the finish; no alcohol.
Sweet, rich, juicy with a good mix of lightly peppery honey and fleshy apple. Sweetness up front dries out nicely on the finish with the mildly tart apple. Rich and comforting with a tasteful apple character that allows the mead to still retain its honey character front and center.

Bottle, thanks to John! Pours clear golden, uncarbed. Aroma and flavor very apple forward, honey and wildflower notes. Flavor is quite sweet, heavy apple. Medium body

Bottle, Schramm's tasting #1. Pale, clear, golden. Sweet apple and honey, that's about it. Super clean and drinkable.

Long 375ml bottle at the early November DC Ratebeer tasting. Poured a clear golden yellow color with no head to speak of. Nice legs. Sweet honey, with some crisp apple. Not overly sweet, pleasant, warming finish.

That thin 375ml bottle pours a clear gold, no head. Light legs. Nose has apples and honey, a little cakey. Flavors follow, honey and apple, apple cider. Full bodied, sweet, oily finish. Good but a little underwhelming.

I didn't want to be that guy to create a vintage, especially before bottling, but wanted to highlight that I loved batch #1 and this was even better. Apple skins and concentrated apple sauce notes, childhood apple juice bag memories and delicious honey.
