Can. Black pour, beige head. Nose is intense coffee, chocolate, vanilla and lactose-like sweetness. Pretty pleasant, I wonder how much of it comes from the added aromas. Tastewisr it’s pretty similar to the nose, but more held back. Closes with coffee and chocolate finish, has light body and soft carbonation.

About 6 months past the best date. Virtually black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma full of smoke and coffee, melding into something resembling burnt coffee grounds. Underneath are softer, sweeter dairy tones and a hint of amaretto. Taste is modestly bitter with an uptick of roasted coffee at the finish. Good body for a 4-percenter, slightly oily with moderate to mild carbonation. Occasionally challenging without being obnoxious. Good.

Can. Pours almost black with a three-finger creamy beige head. Roasted malt, caramel, bit of chocolate, chalky. Underwhelming.

Dark brown colored, medium- tan head, not that lasting. Aroma is of roasted malt, coffee, lactose, some dark chocolate. Taste is medium sweet malt, roasted notes, coffee, dark chocolate, lactose, bittersweet finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, creamy.

Canned. Deep brown. Opaque. Modest beige head. Nose: chocolate, nuts, waffles, caramel. Light body. The taste folloes the nose. Low to light bitterness. Not my kind of porter still decent.

330 ml. can. Dark brown, mocha head, smaller head, disappearing. Nose is sweet cheap milk chocolate, Starbucks coffee, bit sweeter, mocha, some caramel. Taste is sweeter cheap mocha, milk chocolate with a low chicory, dash sweet wood profile, low herbal sweet but in vague kitchen spice, herbal, mocha, cacao, profile, interesting, faint herbal. Bit strange in a stale candy way but overall tasty.
