Pours black, smell is bit sweet, mildly nutty. Taste is medium intense. Nutty, creamy, fairly sweet. Didn't really get maple here myself, but might wanna re-try the beer later on to see if I was wrong.

Forholdsvis pålitelige notater fra årets maritime juleølsmaking ombord på Fridtjofen: kveldens nest siste, og stemningen er som forventet helt upåklagelig. Ikke et promillefritt blodomløp i sikte! Brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Mørke sjokolader, bjørnebær og diskret citrus. Fin bitterhet som balanserer de heftige inntrykkene, og bortimot en kabellengde med mersmak.

Draft. A black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, prunes, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of vanilla, roasted malt, prunes, and raisins, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Aroma: nice roast, lots of chocolate, charcoal, some coffee. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty sweet, sugary, lots and lots of alcohol, roasted, chocolate, sweet and sugary, bit chemical. Aftertaste: sugary, alcohol, chemical notes, chocolate, coffee, more roast, mocha, alcohol.

Bakgården Både & 191119. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is vanilla, maple, coffee. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, lactose, hopcocoa, pecan , maple. Nice beer.
