375 bottle. Pours a dark purple color with no head. The aroma is a big blast of cherries. The flavor is big and bold mix of cherries and raspberries. Some slight woody tannin bitterness. The palate is full and viscous. Finishes long with lingering berries. Overall: Very nice. paired well with some extra toasty cheez-it's.

Late to the party, I know. Found a cheap-ish bottle shop outside of Dallas that had several varieties(Grapevine Beer & Wine), opted for the second most affordable one like the timid fuck I am. Batch #2 in tiny print somewhere on the bottom. Sake glass @the Lodge. Found the short cup way in the back, so yes. Two hour rest in the freezer. Manual corkscrew after a few beers, trying not to wake the roommates with my huffing & puffing, but it breaks halfway out. Second half isn't a problem, no corkage is good. Obviously still, a fuzzy red on on black pour. Berries & wax, co-mingling. Iron, berries, residual honey. Weak nose for what it all composes & is expected. Not too tart on the currant forefront. Rich, viscous, but juicy & not syrupy. Slightly medicinal Robitussin: deep black cherry, but with menthol & light wax. Lingering mild bitterness goes through to the end. Menthol on the back of my tongue after we're all done. At it's most basic: bittersweet & herbal. Lush, glazed, dark fruit, easy & not obviously 14%. If the price could come down, say, a third, I'd much rather have this in the fridge than a 750 of suspect pet nat cider.

Taster showing vinous red.
The nose shows moderately intense notes of black forest fruits.
The palate is light bodied. Lightly sweet with moderate notes of vinous black forest fruit forward with a mild bitterness and light astringency. Lightly tannic on the end.
Again a sweet and dry balance that is really nice. Not decadently sweet like other reds from schramms but playfully tangy and acidic.

Bottle thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - looks like a deep red wine. Nose - a bit tight, almond and cherry stone. There is an elegant red fruit thing going on. Taste - soft and rich red cherry and red fruit generally. Almonds and cherry stone. Palate - a rich elegant mead, soft in texture, but still packed with fruit. Light acidity on the finish. Overall - stunning!

Not decadently sweet like other schramms but a muted kinda adorable sweetness, mild currant dryness, cherries are damn uniquely tart and tasty.

On tap at Schramm's, pours a deep dark mahogany. Aroma reveals decadent cherry, tart jammy currant and treacly honey. Flavour is along the same lines, with intensely deep cherry, decadent jammy cherry, and gentle, tart currant. Jammy, sweet, boozy finish. Lovely.
