Meant to be a festive beer, we first launched this in the 2018 holiday season. We wanted to break with the tradition of Belgian holiday beers that are usually dark, sweet and heavy. A refreshing New Year's beer that is made with champagne yeast to give it a very fine vibrancy. Available year-round due to its popularity!

A hazy and golden beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has generic frutiness, some citrus and spicyness. Taste has fruitness, wheat, spicyness, too sweet. Medium bodied. Could be fresher, but pretty nice.

14 January 2022. At Café Cambrinus, Brugge. Shared with the lovely Anke!
Apparently I didn't rate this one at ZBF 2019. Hazy yellow, stable, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of wheat, white bread, apple peel, cooked ham, soap, grape, tobacco somewhere. Taste has sweetish apple & grape over a bready, wheaty malt base with spicy and sour citrus notes. Grassy hoppy finish, lingering grape note, quite perfumey. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Very odd in aroma but still decent. Just not very 'noble'.

Fles thuis geprobeerd LiekevdV. Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een wit schuim. Het heeft een tarwe achtige wat champagne achtige geur. De smaak is zacht, tarwe, banaan en gistachtig.

Clear golden colour, white foam. Nose of banana, some bread, a bit citrussy. Very weak body, not very pleasant.
