Can from Tesco Danestone. It pours clear bright deep yellow - gold with a small white head. The aroma is grapefruit upfront and throughout, juicy, zesty, oily, light sherbet and perfume. The taste is fairly bitter, dry, pithy, zesty, grapefruit dominates, slightly soapy, oily, sappy, kick of booze and peppery spice with a lingering dry grapefruit finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. A bit one dimensional on the taste. A fun idea, but not a patch on the original.

Can from Tesco and drunk on a train . Clear gold colour thin white head. Big pink grapefruit aroma. OK in mouth. Very pink grapefruit in the flavour. Hides abv well. Good but prefer the original by a long way. Light bitterness.

Can. Tesco. Mostly clear, pale gold. Some suds of white. Nose has pink grapefruit juice. Clean malts. And, erm, not too much else. Taste is fairly sweet, with a light, oily, pithy bitterness. Medium body. Pretty oily on the palate. Fine carbonation. Feels soapy, almost. Light, grapefruit bitterness to finish. As a big fan of regular Halcyon I was really looking forward to this, and it’s a bit disappointing, to say the least.
