A beautifully balanced ale with a rich golden hue. The subtle biscuit flavours of the malted barley perfectly complement the pleasing bitterness and delicate, fruity hop aroma, giving way to a refreshingly crisp finish.

Old rating from 09-11-15 - 500ml bottle, pours a dark amber colour rather than golden, with a white head. Aromas of bread, biscuit, caramel malts. Tastes of caramel with malty biscuit and a mild bitterness. Aftertastes of mild bitterness and not much else. Overall a pretty average drinkable English style bitter.

Bottle from Asda. Amber in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Sweetish and slightly earthy digestive malts, with some citrus character, touch of leafy hop and moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Keg @ The Unicorn, Manchester. Dark clear golden with a small head. It's a bland crisp hoppy ale with good caramels in its nose.
