cask at Guildford Arms in Edinburgh - Pours lightly hazy gold with a lingering white head. The mild aroma is grainy, bready hops. The flavor is of sweet pale malt with very mild hops. It’s light to medium bodied. It’s fairly refreshing though bland. The name is so very wrong. heh.

Bottle: Clear, golden, medium-sized white head with a little lace; mild but distinctive hoppy nose with a grainy underground, followed by a tinge of vegetables; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, as well; delicate aromatic hops and sweet pale malt in the lingering bitter-sweet finish. Not great, but quite O.K. .....
Earlier Rating: 2/15/2010 Total Score: 2.9
Bottle: Golden to deep golden, a bit hazy, small and stable off-white head; grainy-malty nose - almost a bit bready - with a certain fruitiness and a citrussy-hoppy touch; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; short fruity-malty finish. Not really convincing......

1st November 2008. Clear gold beer. Minerally and fresh. Smooth malt and a touch of hoppy fruit. Crisp finish. Not bad but a little lagerish.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 4 Dec 2009) Golden colour with foamy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of apricots, citrus and honey. Fruity taste with apricots, citrus, grass and malty sweetness. Rather light body. A decent golden ale, but a touch too sweet for my liking.

500 ml bottle from my friend in Aberdeen. I appear to be the third rater from the US! Nose is grassy and citrusy with some light sweetness and caramel. Clear copper with a medium off white head. Flavor is lightly sweet, bready, and malty with raelly no bitterness, only a hint of white pepperiness in the finish.
