Cask @ The Railway, Hebden Bridge. Golden blonde with a creamy head. Has a fairly malty character with some hop. A steady session ale with some berry sweetness in its aroma.

Aroma is a good hoppy mix with a hint of malt and lemon. The appearance is a nice foggy golden body with a little bit of head. Flavour is nice strong malt notes followed by just a hint of lemon and hops, with hazelnut throughout. Nice mouthfeel. A good, drinkable beer.

Fra cask på Ye Olde Salutation Inn, Nottingham 26 Jan 14. Gylden. Lavt filmskum som etterlater nivåmerker på glasset. Forsiktig fruktaroma. Smaken litt vassen. Antydning til grapefrukt. Blir litt tørr etter hvert.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Previously rated on the 5.0% version. Honestly I’m not happy with this general trend of Ringwood to tone down each beer. Like the new branding, not the new taste. This is a new beer and not a patch on the one most people on here have rated.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Wheatsheaf, Chetwyn Aston on 11th Jan 2014. Lighter in colour and depth than it’s bottled brother (the bottles 5% ABV), this is easy drinking but lacking in flavour. It’s OK but I do prefer the bottled version.

Looks ok. Pale ale with good white head. Goes downhill from there. Watery, bland, finishes dull.

Cask at The White Swan, Solihull. Poured a clear amber with a thin white frothy head and lots of lace. The aroma is malty, but a little stale. The flavour is medium bitter, malty and with lots of lovely English hops on the palate. Not a classic, but a fine session beer.

Cask at the Three Guineas, Reading, 12/04/13. Clear pale golden with a thin off white head. Nose carries malts, fruit, toffee. Taste comprises light floral hops, summer fruit, sugars, malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dryish in the finish. Drinkable but a little boring - assume the classic ’W’!
