Pre GBBF tasting as Chris and Ruth’s. Clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light with decent fine carbonation. Clean malts, mildly sweet. Nice lemony tang over dried fruits. Light floral finish. Yeah - it’s okay.

Bottle thanks to Graham. Appearance - golden with a thin head. Nose - light cereal and honey. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - a solid ale.

Bottle picked up from Morrison’s minehead. Clear light golden coloured pour a halo of white froth. Aroma is earthy grains and berry hedgerow, little sweetness, little lemon. Flavour is composed of light grains, chalky, nutty and some hedgerow berry. Palate is a bit thin, mineral, highish carbonation. Solid slightly rough bitterness. Bit meh.

I didn’t realise when drinking this last night that it wasn’t just a label change because I didn’t notice anything significantly different about it. Golden, light, sweet beer. Touch of citrus in the flavour where you can pick up both the malts and hops. Nicely balanced if a touch dull but being weaker than it was previously would definitely make it a good option for a session.
