Old Peculier is a beautiful, yet very simple beer, brewed using a very generous blend of finest pale, crystal and roasted barley with two bitter hops combined with the majestic and noble ‘Fuggle’ hop to produce a beer of awesome full-bodied flavour with subtle cherry and rich fruit overtones. It tastes superb when accompanied by rich stews, strong cheeses and sweet puddings.

chestnut brown / amber with a smooth beige head.
mild malty aroma with a peculiar almost berry fruity hoppy note, reminds me of the aroma i've found in beers claiming to be "old ale" style. quite fruity. Nice enough though.
Flavor is bitter hoppy, fruity bitter hoppy, malty, roasted malty. palate is thick, a bit like a mix between ESB , stout and something wih berryish fruity notes.

From cask at Grove, Huddersfield, 28.03.25. Dark brown. Persistent brown head. Slightly acidic aroma and taste of crowberrries, dark malt and tobacco. Quite dry. Perhaps the cask is over its top.
