Cask at the Alma, Upper Hale. Slight maltyness of an aroma. Amber. OK white head.Sweet with a bitter edge. Again there’s as maltyness to it. Light bodied. A carbonation that became more prominent as I started to finish off to get pack to work, which I didn’t find pleasant. Bland as. Can’t believe this is a mate’s favourite beer, especially a they used to work in a decent pub.

A true English bitter and that is a compliment. Good malt, mild bitter hops and a beer that you can just keep drinking and enjoying.

Pale brown colour with thin creamy head. Aroma has toasted malts. Quite a mild flavour. Fairly strong with malts and a light fruitiness in the finish.

Cask at the Windsor Castle - Fitzrovia, London. Pours lightly hazy, copper-gold with a foamy white head. Damp leaves in the nose, some grainy bread, berries. Light sweet flavor with simple bread, light toffee, dough, musty earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Somewhat bland on the finish, with a bit of sugary brown bread, caramel, earth, old leaves, musty berries. So so.

Always check the English section of beer stores for new counties and found the first in awhile recently with this. Copper color faint nose of caramel and floral. Tastes of caramel, cookies, floral, light nuttiness, faint skunk. Bland palate but non offensive.
