500ml, zwart met volle kaki kraag. aroma van laurier, geroosterd/gebrand, lichte koffie, smaken zijn matig tot redelijk bitter, erg droog, onaangenaam bitter ook weer net zoals al de andere bieren van permon... niet mijn ding... geroosterd, moutig, caramel, grond, natte bladeren, muf, nat karton, bitterheid totaal niet in balans met de smaken. nee --- Beer merged from original tick of Black I.P.A. 13° on 18 May 2018 at 09:42 - Score: 6

At atasting, thanks, small creamy bubbly head, very cloudy lightish brown color with reddish hues, herbal and flowers aroma with dark bread and nuts in the back, flavor of shrubs, metal and coal in the back. light bitterness. Drinkable but not too exciting, more a dark amber then a BIPA.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Vova. Deep amber. Aroma of malt, a bit of caramel, some piney hops. Sweet flavor with malt, toast, bitter piney hops. Medium-bodied. Decent. Not really a Black IPA.

GBBF Day 3. Keg. Hazy amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, dry and minerally crisp. Thin dark malts, trace of roast and mild dark chocolate. Light fruity floral hop. Mild floral bitterness. Light crisp finish. Lacks boldness.

330ml bottle from trade with Miso. Many thanks. Pours deep dark brown, good tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, treacle. Taste is smooth, roasted malts with a light earthy hoppy hint. Not bad.

Keg at GBBF 2016. It pours clear dark mahoganny brown with a decent white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, brown bread, candy, toffee and candy. The taste is smooth, rich, earth roast, twiggy, wood, leather, toasted nut, toffee, leather and dried fruits with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not bad.

Cask at GBBF day 3 11/08/2016. A dark nutty brown coloured pour with a halo of white head Aroma is a nutty mlats, brown sugars, earthy toffee, apple, toasted pine. Flavour is composed earthy nutty malts, hazelnut, pecan, toasted brown bread. Jammy fruits. Palate is crisp, semi sweet highish carbonation. Good.

Das Bier mit der abstrusen Abkürzung ist eine wahre Geschmacksbombe. Der Aromahopfen hat hier eine Spielwiese, auf der er sich austoben kann. Mir persönlich ist das schon zu viel. Aber für Hopfenfreunde sicher ein tolles Bier.
