Quite herbal, and woody. Strong chili arom and flavour, but no heat. Subtle cocoa, and vanilla with a lot of char. Oily mouth feel, regular carb. Finish is highly bitter, and quite astringent. Hints of heat in the end with big licorice, herbs and strong earthiness.

Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, lots of creamy chocolate, roast, surprisingly strong dark fruits, jam, pleasant chili peppers, vanilla, some coffee, hint of liquorice. Flavour is about medium sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Leaves a little chili burn in the throat. Lovely and complex Imperial Chili Stout.

Bottle 0.5l from our archive, four and half years aged, trade with Camons, huge thanks! Black, opaque. AROMA- roasted malts, dark chocolate, honey, caramel, pralines, slight touch of chilli. FLAVOR- smooth, neutral, lightly bitter, moderately warming, a bit chilly hot, chocolate, pralines, a bit peaty, touch of chilli, touch of licorice. Fuller bodied. Tasty.

(Bottle) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with black coffee, dark chocolate, cacao, liquorice and a touch of peppers. Malty, roasted taste with notes of sweet espresso, dark chocolate, cacao, liquorice, black rye bread, treacle, a mild chili touch and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Full body, almost oily mouthfeel. A certain sweetness. Tasty imperial stout, slightly sweetish with a mild chili burn. Very nice.

500ml bottle from the High Point. BB 2026-05-02. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is very strange with dry fruits, smoky, a root of licorice, iodine, bandage, some medication. What the heck? Am I at pharmacy? Taste? F****ng the same! One of the worst beers ever. Damn.
