Cask at Prince of Wales, Wimbledon. Dark brown colour, medium-sized off-white head. Caramel, nutty notes in the nose. Light-bodied. Watery, caramelly flavour. Light earthyness. Perhaps a little bit of nuttyness. Boring.

9th Dec 2018. Hand-pulled pint at The Park, Wellington, Shropshire. Had this in bottle form years ago and wasn't impressed, so wasn't too sure about trying the cask version. Pleased to say this was a whole lot more interesting and better; still not very 'Christmassy' though. Rusty golden body, white crown on top. Aroma of malts and slight fruity esters, taste similar with a mild citrus leaning in the finish.
