Bottle shared in London - thanks to Kenny. Pours black-brown with a small, creamy khaki head. The aroma holds smoke, burnt malts, raisins, chocolate, alcohol. Meidum to big sweet flavour with lots of torched wood, oily chocolate, burnt honey. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation tin. Warming finish, more burnt honey, scorched earth, peat, dried berries. Great stuff overall. Good fun.

Botle split at L42, thanks to Kenny, 05/02/18. Pitch black with a dirty tan swirl Nose is molasses, dark chocolate, spice, charr, boosty, fruit cake. Taste comprises soy sauce, spice, charr, fruit loaf, cocoa powder, hint of vanlla, boosty 'o' clock. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a rising boost. Decent enough impy ... doesn't deliver on the 19% but drinks under this.

Bottle at L42 - thanks to Ken. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, charred wood, oily, cookie dough, donuts, sticky toffee cake, vanilla and treacle. The taste is slick, oily, chewy, woody, sticky, boozy head, tangy, fruity, brownie, cookie dough, warming alcohol, spice and leather with a drying finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Slick and filthy. A bit heavy and sweet for my tastes, but fun nonetheless.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is pretty light for it's massive abv. Good rich dark malts, trace of creamy sweetness. Chocolate liquer. Little roast. Bourbon fruits and spicy smoke. Nice tangy berry fruits. Light dry finish. Long spicy tangy linger. Drinks well below it's huge abv.

Thank to Kraddel! 330 ml. bottle sampled. Black, flat. Nose is pure soy sauce, umami, varnish, alcoholic gravy. Taste is just flat soy sauce, gravy, strongly alcoholic, cheaper vodka aftertaste, fish sauce & soy sauce flat affair. Not good obv.

Pours unclear, black with a mild red glow. No head. Smell is peated, some roast. Taste is full, sharp, alcohol, but not overly boozy. Peat is steong, but doesnt bother me as much as I thought it would.
