Bottle from Lidl. Pours a clear golden/amber colour with a thinnish soapy looking white head. Aromas of floral, citrus, caramel and biscuits. Taste has more floral, citrus, caramel and biscuits with some added herbal notes and mild earthy hops on the finish. Thin to medium body, low carbonation and fairly smooth gentle mouthfeel. Quite an elegant well put together English Ale. Decent

Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Some flowery hops in a decent aroma. In the mouth the main impression isdof the watery texture. There are some hops and hints of lemon and pineapple, but not much else. The finish is bitter with citrus. A bit of a nothing beer really.

Bottle from Tesco, Exmouth. Gold pour with decent white head. Malt, bread, honey, flora aroma. Taste is fairly sweet with malts, hops, earthy and a little butteriness. A slight bitter finish which combines with the sweetness. Moderate carbonation and body. Very nice golden ale, a little more complex than your average one and good balance.

Faint aroma of cut grass and malt, pours a deep gold with a short lasting white head - moderately carbonated and the fizz predominates over a malty taste with hints of hops and some zest

Bottle @ Proeflokaal Delft. Golden color. Sweet apples and flowery hops in the aroma. Apple pie, butterscotch, hints of yeast and flowery hops in the flavor. A bit off the beaten track, certainly not bad.

After witnessing your team toss away a play-off semi-final, the long walk home is a sad time - best to stop off and refresh yourself, and this is a decent enough golden ale with some floral and fruity notes to do the job with.

500 ml bottle, from British Corner Shop. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly nice aroma of earthy and herbal hops. The medium dry flavour has some fruity and tingling hops, followed by more earthy notes. Decent beer.
