Dark, russet brown, nose of roasted malts with gentle hints of citrus. Brewed with a big malt base and lightly toasted oats, harnesses the sweet and sharp flavours of autumnal ripened damsons, with Northdown and Cascade hops working to bring out the natural fruitiness of the plums.

Cask@Black Door, Helsinki. Rubyish brown colour, close to black, with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, some nutty tones with grass and some mild dried fruity tones. Flavour is chocolaty, some herbal, mild toasted and some dried fruity and grassy tones to it. A bit strange for a British Porter.

Clear deep brown with ruby highlights. Small ivory head. Nose: toasted malts, caramel, light fruit esters, a hint of hops. Medium minus body. Taste: malty, toasted, not overly sweet, even dryish. Prunes. Some hops. Not bad, highly drinkable.

100ml draught at Taphouse. Good looking with a beige covering head, spotty lacing, deep mahogany coloured body. Earthy malts and herbs to the nose. Mildly spiced caramel malts to the taste profile, hints of bread. Malt-driven finish, semi-sweet. Easy to drink. Satisfying. (Copenhagen 25.11.2018).

Draught @ Fox & Hounds, Sønderborg. Pours hazy coffee brown with airy light tan head. Mild aroma of yeast and malt, with touches of fruit jam. Bitter, roasty flavour, with mild notes of malt, yeast and coffee and touche of bubblegum. Roasty and estery aftertaste. Well, it is drinkable but it does not taste of much. Neither the best porter nor the best Fuller’s I have tried.

On tap. Pours a clear brown-amber with a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that laces nicely. Sweet fruity aroma of roasted malt, caramel, bread, plums, red berries and faint ash. Sweet fruity flavour of caramel malt, bread, plum, cherry, light roast and just a hint of chocolate with a dry finish. Light body with a thin texture and soft carbonation. Ok, but the fruit seemed artificial.
