330ml bottle from Windsor and Eton brewery. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light smoke and woody hops. The flavour is liqourice bitter, with a rich, roasty, big liqourice, dry pepper spice, light warm alcohol, hop bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. An old skool imperial stout.

Unfortunately, I dropped this bottle. Had enough in the bottom to get a good taste. Chocolate and dessert notes , roast, chocolate and slightly smoky. From the small sample, I loved it. Will have to pick up another bottle if a see it.

33cl bottle from the Grumpy Goat, Reading. A glossy black pour with a thin beige head; aroma of chocolate malts and rum soaked raisins; a thick chocolatey body with some sour fruit and a bitterness from deeply roasted malts; then a long dry finish with cocoa powder and warming alcohol.

Pigs Ear Day 1. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Bitterish dark malts, touch of dark chocolate. Tangy dark fruits. Some orangey hop starts to rise to the surface. Some floral bitterness and then a Chritmas Pud vibe on the light semi dry finish. Bit dry but flavoursome.
