A black ale with hints of cocoa and espresso. Full-bodied and roasty, with mild hop character. A dry finish and moderate ABV keeps you coming back for more.

12oz bottle pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is roasted malts some light smoke and a touch of dark chocolate. Taste is more of the nice rich roast malts light smoke and ash.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours almost black with a beige head. Aroma and taste if roasted malt with chocolate and coffee notes. A bit of lactose as well. Not bad.

Draft at The Jeffrey Craft Beer, Cocktails & Bites, 311 East 60th St, NYC. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of dark fruits: plum, prune, raisin and date, chocolate, light roasted coffee and malt. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, average to soft carbonation.

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a black color with a creamy colored thin foamy head that died off at a decent pace. Semi-foamy thin lace.
The aroma took in portions of milk and dark chocolate over some subtle vanilla notes and then graces the underneath with a light roasty, some char and coffee beans.
The flavor slightly brings together the previously mentioned aromas to blend decently between the roast and the sweet. Crisp sweet roasted aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderately carbonated, subtle roasty nuances slide over my tongue nicely in a nice semi-smooth wet sort of way.
Overall, nicely done porter somewhat leaning to the English side. I could come back to this.
