500ml bottle. Poured a slightly hazy light amber colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light toffee, mineral, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a light malt, grainy, light fruit, light pepper spice, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

[50cl bottle from Aldi, Bracknell.] A bright amber pour with a thin white head; herbal aroma hiding some stewed malts; crisp biscuity malt body with some caramel and a little herbal spice; then a drier finish with some orange essence. Pleasant but unexciting.

Bottle from Booths Supermarket, Media City. Copper-amber with a thin head and a carbonation. Crisp and mildly malty, but nothing too seasonally special.

Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma is grainy, grassy, mild skunky and herbal. Clear amber color with thin creamy off-white head, fair lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts light sweet grainy and mild fruity, follows herbal, citrusy and metallic, mouthfeel is crisp, while finish is moderate grassy bitter. Light body, creamy texture and lively carbonation in palate. As it’s ice cold I see only this comparison with Christmas...
