Brewed with 100% Citra hops that create aromas of mango, apricot, grapefruit & mandarin orange, along with a lasting, juicy, tropical fruit bitterness, the Baby-Faced Assassin is a deceptively quaffable India Pale Ale that shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Can. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of apple, kiwi fruit and honeyed malt. Flavour of marmalade, pine and lemon sponge. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. This is not as good as I remember it being ten years ago - it’s too sweet and flabby.

Can from local Asda store. Shared with friends at their house. Pours a hazy / cloudy golden amber with a sizable off-white head and good lacing. The aroma has plenty of hops and small amounts of herbs and honey. In the mouth it is decidedly bitter with oodles of floral hops, supplemented by oranges, grapes, angostura bitters, and hints of mango and honey. Finish is severely dry and has positive stickiness – but almost too much of it. This is excellent – exactly what an IPA should be like.
