Summit Hefe Weizen is brewed with a high percentage of malted wheat, then a small amount of authentic German weizen yeast is left behind to help maintain its brewery freshness. And that’s what accounts for Hefe Weizen’s unique cloudy appearance.

Bottled@Monks Café, Sveavägen (during Summer 2010). Hazy yellowish golden colour, small white hea. Aroma is wheat, quite much citrus fruits, mild bready notes as well as some slight spicy notes. Flavour is being quite much the same in a rather refreshing way.

Bottled at Monk’s Café Walingatan, Stockholm. Hazy deep golden, minimal head. Aroma of ripe banana. Mid sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Lightly spicy with notes of toffee. Low bitterness. Quite refreshing. A correct weizen, but nothing great.

Bottle: Pours a dusty golden/yellow color with a small, short lived white head. Very light aroma is wheat, cloves, yeast, and bananas. The flavor is deep in wheat tones with cloves, apples, cinnamon, and a little husky/bready thing in the end. Still finishes crisp and clean.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden with a white head. I forgot to swirl the yeast around, so it’s only lightly hazy. Aroma is of cloves and bubblegum. Flavors of wheat, cloves and biscuit. On the light side, but still pleasant to drink.
