A red ale with rich and smooth flavors of malted barley, balanced by underlying hints of dark fruit. Brewed in homage to our hometown tulip festival, Red Tulip evokes spring's renewing spirit. Excellent with roasted pork, red-meats and dried fruit.

Bottle from Beer Geek. Reddish amber color with a significant beige head. Aromas of lightly roasted caramel and arguably mild citrus. Near full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is smooth roast caramel with some fruit and light hop. It’s very tasty.

Bottle. Pours an almost brown amber with a little bit of a head that is gone before I get back upstairs from the fridge. Aromas are dull... caramel malt - that’’s it. Flavor is pretty malt heavy, too. Caramel and maybe some fruit around the edges. Pretty good, but pretty plain.

12oz bottle. Thick, murky brown-amber color. Full bodied and malty. This is a nice Amber, though I’m no fanatic of the style. Very deep and enjoyable, and not suffering a lot of the typical off tastes all too often found in Amber Ales.

12oz bottle pours a rich, ruby, copper color that’s completely transparent and has a thin, creamy slightly beige head. Looks very striking and inviting. Nose is mild, but doughy, sugary like cookies, a bit spicy, and a touch nutty. Flavor is sweet and sugary, some biscuit and crackers, butterscotch, nuts and toffee. Finish has a sweetness that envelops the palate in a very nice manner. I was very surprised how delicious and drinkable this brew was. This would be a wonderful session beer and something many palates would enjoy.

Bottle. Pours red, slightly brown, with a large and creamy tan head. Looks wonderful! Toasted malts, hops, and slight floral in the nose. Tastes nutty, VERY slightly metallic, and has a creamy mouthfeel. This beer improves as it warms.

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a slight haze under a brown head. The aroma is sweet maltyh with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of spices - especially cinnamon. The flavor is sweet matly with notes of caramel and a somewhat odd edge, leading to a dry and slightly nutty finish.

Clear reddish amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet roasted malt and cereal aroma. More cheerios and light roasted malt in the flavor, hints of caramel. Medium light body with moderate carbonation. Very smooth flavor, starting sweet and finishing somewhat dry.

Bottle from Whole Foods Raleigh. Reddish brown with a thin, quickly disappearing head. No bitterness in the aroma. All grain, and a little corny. A little bitterness in the taste, with a grainy, tea-like taste. A little off balance. Pretty drinkable and pretty forgettable.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-amber color with a medium sized orange-tan head. The aroma was sweet, sour and tangy with a slightly vegetal undertone and a hint of fruity hops. The flavor was sweetish nutty malts with light fruity hops and a hint of vegetal malts.
