12oz bottle from Woodmans. Poured into a shaker. Pours a cloudy dark yellow with zero head. Some big chunks of something sank immediately to the bottom. Scent is of wheat and lemon zest. Maybe some orange in there. Taste is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes kind of like a Blue Moon. Medium-light bodied with a thick creamy texture. Soft carbonation and not much finish to speak of. Overall, its not that bad. Loses some points for the random chunks in the bottom which I don’t know what they are yet.

12 ounce bottle from a sampler from Woodman’s West Madison. Pours a hazy peach color with a thin head that fades quickly. Aroma of citrus, pale wheat and a faint coriander spice finish. The taste is citrus, stone fruits, spice. Thin-medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle. Pale, clear golden body with a short, fully diminishing head. Sweet aroma with notes of orange, grain (wheat), grass and coriander. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter with a moderately sweet finish that is lightly bitter and lightly acidic. Slight soapy taste. Medium body with a watery texture that turns syrupy. Moderate carbonation. Average at best. Would have a hard time drinking more than one of this sweet orange sticky concoction.

12oz bottle. Cloudy yellow-tan color. Minimal aroma, minimal taste. This is a pretty poor example of a Wit. Crisp mouthfeel, but very weak watery body with a sub par grain backbone. Straightforward and non-offensive at best, a disappointment.

Bottle from D&J Liquor in St. Louis, MO. Hazy golden color with a very slight white head. Seems to have a light citrus aroma. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Flavor is lightly spiced citrus with some grain. It’s ok. Milder than Belgian wits.

Bottle. Musty lemon/wheat malt aroma. Hazy pale yellow with minimal head. Dry/musty lemon wheat malt flavor with a hint of peach. Very nicely made witbier.

bottle - Pours clear yellow with a thin head and smells of oranges. The light, sweet flavor has a fair amount of citrus. It’s a little too watery, even for what is typically a light style. Overall it’s alright but quite unimpressive.

I smell lemon-lime first and foremost. An herbal hop, a touch of coriander, and doughy yeast/malts. Lightly hazed, golden, thin head. More lemon-lime flavor, tart, short. Hint of lemon rind finish. Very wheaty.

Bottle. Fairly hazy on the pour. A bit of citrus, not terribly complex or full tasting for a wit bier.

On draught at Bodega in La Crosse. Pours light golden color with a thin white head that dissipates steadily. Very little lacing is apparent. Citrusy aroma with a touch of spices. Light-bodied and very crisp with zesty citrus flavor, as well as some spices and wheat. The finish is very fizzy on the tongue and not overly flavorful aside from some mild spice. Decent but not memorable.
