Berghoff Hefe Weizen is a smooth tasting, unfiltered Wheat Beer brewed in traditional Bavarian style, using both Two-Row Barley and Wheat Malt. The cloudy appearance of the Hefe-Weizen is caused by the Vitamin B-Complex carrying top fermented yeast in the finished product.

Draught from the restaurant. Cloudy, a little bit less acidic than I like my hefe’s. OK.

Location: Draft at the Berghoff, 6/2/14
Aroma: The aroma is light and wheaty, banana and spice notes, pretty much a dull hefe nose
Appearance: Pours a light yellowish color, unclear, with a fizzy white head
Flavor: Flavor-wise this one is light and similar to the nose, okay, but leans pretty dull
Palate: The body is light, it is rather fizzy carbonation-wise, with an okay mouthfeel
Overall Impression: I wasn't a huge fan of this beer. It is on-style enough, but it comes off as fairly dull. Not a favorite of mine.

Bottled@Monks Café, Stockholm. Hazy golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is tomatosauce-pizza-spices as well as some wheat and caramel. Flavour is being very similar with some herbal notes. Probably rather old bottle (drank during summer 2010).

12oz bottle. Macro Hefe aroma wich worsens with the raise in temperature with a cloudy lightish golden orange color. After tasting it, I really have to declare Minhas extremely guilty of the use of adjuncts. What a shitalicious brewery. Still slightly more interesting than Bud Light, you can potentially drink this. The corn and hefe-banana tastes sort of uncomfortably merge, overly sweet. Nothing that a Ratebeerian would ever look forward to.

bottle - Pours bright, hazy yellow with a thin, rapidly fading head. It has a very yeasty aroma that reveals a bit of citrus. It definitely tastes like a sweet, citrusy summertime beer. Light and bubbly on the palate, it’s quite drinkable but rather bland. This is an average hefeweizen at best.

Bottle Lemon, orange, banana and light clove aroma. Cloudy light orange-yellow color with small head. Tart lemon, banana, and wheat malt flavor with moderate acidity and carbonation. Nice Hefe - on the light side but still pretty good.

A good hefeweizen aroma is the best quality of this beer. Looks like a pale lager. Flavor is of a watery hefeweizen. All of the expected flavors are there but none of them in sufficient quantity. Still a good effort from a macro.

Bottled. #9 of 31 US Beers for American Beer Month. This has a slightly more subdued banana nose than the other weizens we’ve been trying tonight. It was served warm and had some slight notes of chlorides, though. There’s a soft wheat taste that’s more suited to an American wheat beer.

Hazy blonde wth a creamy white head, and a pleasant aroma of bubble gum and cloves. In mouth, less remarkable, bananas and some lactic acid/lemon. Creamy in mouth and in general very palatable. Would be nice to compare with Blanche de Chambly.
