Clear copper-orange color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Cranberry, wheat and ginger aroma. Light-bodied with flavors of cranberry, cinnamon, malt and wheat. The finish is fruity and spicy with a cranberry aftertaste. Above average overall.

From a 12 oz can. Pours a clear pale mahogany with a scant head. Aroma of caramel. Flavors are tart cherries.

12 ounce can thanks to Buckeye. Merry Christmas my man. Pours a mostly clear orange color with a small white head. A big sour spicy nose, melons and spice. Intriguing. Fairly sharp sourness, lemons, overripe funky fruit, and then the spices. Lively. I think the ginger is the largest spice for me. It sort of blends into the sourness. Anyway, works well.

Tap at Half Barrel celebrating the holiday. Cloudy orange. With these ingredients I was a touch scared but they held in check and made a nice beverage. You can the cran and holiday spices. Lightly tart. Cinnamon lingers on tongue for sure. I have slight cold and this hits spot.

12 oz can. Rated last night. Aroma is all the ingredients listed--cranberry, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger, which seems to be the least prominent. Pours hazy orangeish- rosé with a fleeting bone-white head. Taste is highly sour (9/10) and acidic with flavors like the aroma. The nutmeg in particular stands out as being a little too strong. It's still a good beer, though.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 10/15/2019. Pours very hazy/cloudy reddish orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge sour/tart/tangy cranberries, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, green apple, red grape/wine, peppercorn, hay, straw, herbal, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light biscuit, lacto funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Amazing complexity and balance of cranberries, fruity/acidic yeast, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge sour/tart/tangy cranberries, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, green apple, red grape/wine, peppercorn, hay, straw, herbal, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light biscuit, lacto funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and cinnamon/ginger spiciness on the finish. Lingering note of sour/tart/tangy cranberries, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, green apple, red grape/wine, peppercorn, hay, straw, herbal, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light biscuit, lacto funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of cranberries, fruity/acidic yeast, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/sourness, tangy fruit, and spiciness balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering sour/tart/tangy/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and acidic/tangy/tannic/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.3%. Overall this is an amazing fruit/spiced kettle sour! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of cranberries, fruity/acidic yeast, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the modestly sour/tart/tangy/spicy/drying finish. Perfectly balanced with juicy/jammy cranberries, Lacto complexity, and spices; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example. Tastes exactly like Christmas all the way through. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

Can from Holiday Market. Pours a cloudy ruby color with a quickly dissipating half finger of off-white foam. Strong winter wassail aromas on the nose with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cranberry, fruity aromas. Tart berry on the palate with skin and seed notes, some cherry and lots of winter spice flavors: nutmeg, clove, ginger and cinnamon. Refreshing tart finish. Very light body with more cinnamon and ginger on the finish.
Gingerbread man sour so good
