Got in a trade with AZBeerDude72. 16 ounce can into snifter, no can dating. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger dense and rocky khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with light notes of molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with light notes of molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Very mild herbal, grassy, spicy, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, dark/brown bread/crust, light dark fruit/smoke/char, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a solid roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and slightly sticky/sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 12.5%. Overall this is a fantastic imperial milk stout. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the huge ABV, with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Amazingly soft/silky feel for the ABV. Amazing super rich malt complexity and balanced lactose flavors; with mild earthy hops, and fruity English yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazingly spot on English style example.

From a pint can. Pours a dark cola with a small and quickly receding tan head. Aroma of chocolate. Flavors are sweet milk chocolate with just a bit of balancing bitterness.

Pint can pours with a deep dark body that supports a thin light brown head of foam. The modest aroma offers up milk chocolate, caramel malts and molasses leading to burnt maltiness into the end of the draw. The taste delivers molasses and caramel malt sweetened and smoothed out chocolate and milk chocolate and dark roasted maltiness. It becomes a little more velvety dark chocolate to midway. Tasty sipper with little sense of the big ABV.
