16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/14/2018. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin/seed, vanilla, cream, cracker, and biscuit dough; with lighter notes of honey, toast, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of blueberries, vanilla, lactose, pale malt, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin/seed, vanilla, cream, cracker, and biscuit dough; with lighter notes of honey, toast, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin/seed, vanilla, cream, cracker, biscuit dough, honey, toast, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of blueberries, vanilla, lactose, pale malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/grainy, and lightly sticky/tangy/acidic mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an excellent imperial fruited cream ale. All around great robustness and balance of blueberries, vanilla, lactose, pale malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/tart/drying finish. Great balance of authentic blueberries, vanilla, lactose, and clean malts; with solid earthy hop presence against sweetness. Tastes like a blueberry ice cream cone as advertised. A very enjoyable offering as expected. Just as impressive as cranium crush.
