Our Robust Porter was sent to a bright tank and infused with a blend of whole bean coffee from one of three nearby neighbors: Sip of Hope, Dark Matter, and Metropolis. The cold-aging allows us to extract the aromatic oils from the coffee without extracting any additional bitterness

Very dark brown with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have slightly nutty notes next to subtle coffee. Not quite hitting the high notes.

Can shared at tasting. Darker brown color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, insane espresso, heavy coffee, but a bit thinnish bodied. Hmm decent.

Can via Beer Republic. Med-thin body, well attenuated, medium carbonation. Med-high roasty bitterness, low sweetness. Nice interplay of med-high cocoa chocolatey maltiness, a bit of deep roast, with clean medium coffee. Only quite light astringency. Overall tasty, easy drinking.

Can at home. Lovely pour that just is pleasant to the eye. Nose is coffee and light soy sauce. Tastes of espresso, soy sauce, balsamic, black licorice hint of fruit. Slick palate.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a dark brown with a finger of beige head that lingers. Big creamy, coffee and vanilla aromas with milk chocolate underneath. More of the same on the palate. Mild bitterness, smooth chocolate. Nice coffee notes on the finish. Very good.

Its from a can. Its dark. Its quite bubbly. Its like porter. Its got coffee in it. It is a little strong. It is bitter. Its like coffee. Its cold. Its better if its just plain Eugene. Just saying.

I saw a brown beer pour that became nearly black in the glass, with a spongy, thick head. The coffee nose is close to an espresso roast, helped along no doubt by the chocolate roast malts in the base porter beer. I'm finding the taste has the coffee upfront, of course, but it's almost equal to the roasty malts. There's also some malt sweetness to go with the coffee taste. Just a little sweetener, otherwise, is straight black dark coffee. Its relatively normal alcohol makes this more drinkable.
