Sweet, roasty and slightly fruity with some citrus, coffee, chocolate and ashy notes. A bit too sweet and oily, lacking bitterness.

(Keg at Pien Shop, 20230124) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had fruitiness, coconut, burnt malts and lightly liquorice. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, coconut, burnt malts, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, burnt and bitter. A tasty hoppy brew with burnt notes.

Draught @ Pien, Helsinki. Roasty, hoppy and slightly herbal with some pine, resin, coffee, cocoa and lingering bitterness. Nicely hopped, roasty and properly bitter, but perhaps a tad too sweet.

Thin, malty, boozy. Heavy dark roast coffee, some campfire smoke, very dry and bitter. A bit too roasty and dry for my taste but not bad.

Keg @ Pien Shop, Helsinki Poured pretty much black in color, thin off white head. Roasty indeed with some plummy notes, dark chocolate, cocoa and bitter hops. Really dry and bitter. Tobacco.

Can from Tidens Farver. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich bitter hops, lots of roast malt, chocolate, flowers and has a nice long bitter finish.

Tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam, 14th September 2022. Pours black. Aroma is cocoa and liquorice, coffee. Taste is hop assertive, pretty bitter, well balanced, cocoa and liquorice and then a bitter and dry linger. It’s for sure a nicely hoppy BIPA, well made.

Can at home, black beer, small head. aroma is malt, roast, liquorice, hops, citrus. Taste is the same, bitter, citrus, hops, roasted, malts, liquorice, chocolate, bitter, light resinous aftertaste that lingers on as a quite dry bitter chocolate taste. very very nice.

On tap at the stadsbrouwhuis. Pours black with thick initial head. Aroma is dark malts, sweet, very hoppy, lots of pine. Medium to big body. Flavour is malty and lightly sweet. Dark malts, cacao, chocolate malt, rye, pine, earthy hops. Lovely.
