We all like oats in beers. Like, a lot. So Josh got to creating a hoppy beer with oats making up nearly half the grain bill. Then he added a whole mess of galaxy and mosaic hops as a late addition to supplement this full-bodied beer with all the juicy character expected from a brett pale ale.

Sample at Bob's Bar. Hazy golden color with a medium white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of piney hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of piney hops, grass, citrus and malt. The finish is mildly bitter and slightly creamy with a grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can thanks to Rob. Pours a hazy gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is floral, earth, brett, oak. Slick body, brett, oak, grass, lingering dryness, good.

Pour is a hazy bright golden with a huge head. Aroma is A nice citrus fruit with some green onion. Very fresh fruity hop aroma. Flavor is again a big blast of fruit hop and I'm also getting the onion in the flavor. Finish is bitter with prickly carbonation. The oats never really showed up to give this a bigger mouth fell but the super fresh fruity hops made up for that.

Incredibly hazy golden coloured body with a light biscuity bronze coloured tint and a large, but relatively fast-dying pure white head that leaves a pretty ugly scattered lace on the glass. Aroma of fresh galaxy and very citrusey hops with a big dose of fresh cut grass, light wheat and coriander seed and a very fresh and refreshing smell of light flowers. Light-bodied; Strong oaty and very wheat-centric flavours with a big grassy and citrusey hop bite without much bitterness, but tons of very easy-going flavours that are refreshing but pack a punch. Aftertaste shows the citrus, a lot of grass and herb notes but not much of a cloying malt profile as the oats (but they taste and go down more like wheat to me) do a great job here of bundling up the pungency and keeping it light and hop/citrus-centric in a good way. Overall, a very nice Oat-based beer that shows amazing flavours, a super light body that is easy-to-drink, but full of complexity towards the end that is refreshing as well. Great to sample and well worth trying to find, especially in the summer in the Mid-Atlantic and anywhere that somehow gets even warmer than here! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from Habersham Beverage Warehouse in Savannah, Georgia on 04-May-2018 for US$3,57 (Abercorn Street Location) sampled at home in Washington on 10-June-2018.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours fairly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing slings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt/oat notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt/oat flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and slightly resinous mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt/oat flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Nice soft mouthfeel, pretty close to NEIPA style profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank Citra/Mosaic hop complexity; nice bready malt/oat backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering.

Can. Pours a hazy bright yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet citrus with a bit of rind and a strong sweet grain/oat backbone. Flavor has a combination of grass and citrus with some sweet grains and oats underlying.

Somewhere in Florida: pours pale opaque haze. Aroma is light citrus and some earthiness. Taste is earthy and citrusy. Not huge body. Some sweetness at first but much more dry as I drink it. Definitely see notes of brett that be up in there.
