330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small to average, dense, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, dark malty and yeasty fruity, minimally yeasty spicy aroma, notes of dark caramel, dried fruit, raisin, whiffs of liquorice. Taste is slightly dry, dark malty, yeasty fruity and slightly yeasty spicy, low residual sweetness, hints of dried fruit, raisin, some liquorice.
Creamy-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, dense, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation.
Not overly complex, relatively monotonous - OK.

(Draught at Gist, Brussels, 19 Oct 2023) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of chocolate, toffee, caramel, dried fruit and a touch of peat. Malty taste with chocolate, coffee, caramel, dried fruit and a gentle spicy bitterness. A mild woody acidity coming through. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Warming and quite well balanced. Nice one.
