Very crisp amber and light copper coloured body with a thinnish, one to two centimetre tall tan head that fades pretty quickly above the 10 per cent opaque body. Aroma of crisp and dry bitterness with a strong hop kick, but also some very noticeable orange scent, not from peels/curacao, but from full fruits. Medium-bodied; Relatively rich, biscuity and malty flavour at first with some earthy and rustic qualities, but the floral and dry pungency is perhaps stronger, with the citrus and orange flavours finally noticeable at the very end, and while not giving off any sweetness, the bitterness and dry qualities persist. Aftertaste is dry, quite floral and balanced nicely with both hops and malt noticeable, but the fruit elements aren't very potent - perhaps in a god way, as there is no sugars here, and the bitterness that is here seems to originate from the hops themselves. Overall, a nice, relatively dry, but floral and hoppy IPA with a faint citrus flavour, but the bitterness is definitely here, in an older school, hoppy, Pacific NorthWest type way. Nice to sample and a respectable beer in the Christmas Twelve Pack. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia as part of the Christmas 12 Pack Sampler, on 23-December-2022 for US$9,99 with a 'Best By' date of 31-January-2023, but sampled at my house here in Washington, a few blocks away on 14-February-2023.

12 oz. can from 12 Beers of Christmas pack. Pours a hazy orangey color under a sudsy head. Smell under the tab is mostly citrus and pine from American hops. I catch the orange peel once I get my nose into the glass. Taste is a nice blend of resin and citrus hops, with the orange predominating of course. Not overly hoppy, so it hits the spot.

Pours reddish amber with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, orange, some lemongrass. Taste has bready malt, some “red” lager to it, citrus. Palate has citrus on the nose, some lingering orange. Good.

Pours clear orange into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sour orange peel aromas. Medium bodied and dry with orange oil, twigs and bitter peel upfront turning to pith in the lasting finish.

22 oz. bottle. Color shows me a deep murky orange with thin lasting head. Aroma is indeed orange peel, peach fuzz, and tangelos.
The flavor is packed with citrus. A butt load of orange, tangerine, and tangelos. Maybe a tad heavy in the malt bill. Medium body with a nice level of carbonation, maybe a bit gritty in texture. Overall still very tasty.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 1/12/2017. Pours crystal clear golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, lemon/orange zest, light pine, honey, light caramel, lightly toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops, orange zest, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, lemon/orange zest, light pine, honey, light caramel, lightly toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, lemon/orange zest, pine, honey, bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, orange zest, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, orange zest, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellow bitterness. Nicely juicy and vibrant on hop/fruit notes; with a balancing malt backbone that is never overly sweet. A really enjoyable offering.
