Straw colored with a light, creamy head, our Spencer feierabendbier is a Trappist Pilsner. Traditional noble German hops provide herbal notes, a floral nuance and the classic light closing bitterness. Crisp, clean and refreshing - perfect after a day at work.
Changed to new label and new name "Spencer Premium Pilsener" in 2018 (one year after the original release).

Still bummed Spencer is no more. Moderately sweet, quite a yeasty Pilsner. Lots of malt and honey.

The aromas are palomolt, crackers, spice and a touch of skunk. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, bittersweet up front with good body and excellent carbonation, mildly bitter finish. Nice pilsner.

11/VI/22 - 12Fl. Oz. bottle @ Tournée Trappiste (Oostvleteren), BB: IX/12/22 (2022-680) Thanks to Alengrin for sharing today’s beers!

Pretty clear to a little cloudy pale yellow blond beer, small creamy white head, little stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: malty, a little fruity, some bubble gum and banana, sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty malty, a bit sweet up front, then a good bitterness, pretty dry, a bit grassy, a little oxidized, fruity touch. Aftertaste: nice clean bitterness, almost medicinal, malty, grains but not sweet, a bit oxidized.

Very easy drinking, and a great beer for the style. Snappy hops aroma and good raw barley. Hazy golden pour with decent head and lacing. Crisp finish. Tap at the Sovereign in D.C.

Bottle, WW. Hazy pale gold with a small white head. Green grass, dry crackers, bread crust nose. Flavor is quite a bit better than the aroma: just tons of flavor. Yeast, green and brown leaf, grasses, floral hops, caramel, sweet bread crust. Nicely done.

Pour is a chill haze gold with a large white head. Aroma is a pretty good doughy malt. Flavor is more of the doughy malt but then comes a very herbal, almost spicy hop. Finish has some bitterness. Nice malt and hop profile here.
