16 oz can poured. A bright orange pour. Rocky foam head and heavy lacing. Tropical fruit notes, with a sweetness that seems to come with the territory. Some pine, and a juicy oranges on the aroma. A good IPA here, that drinks lighter than the imperial bill. Solid.

Draft at Yard House in Springfield Town Center. Poured a clear amber color with a small white head. Aroma was a touch malt forward on the nose. Some grapefruit. Flavor is juicy grapefruit. Pleasant fruit finish, with just a little bit of earthy notes.

Pounder: Tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple nose. Cloudy amber, medium yellow head. Tangerine, orange, lilly, grapefruit. Medium body, easy carbonation, slightly resinous, slightly warm. Juicy and big, and incredibly drinkable. Artwork on the can is wonderful.

Pour is a murky orange with a huge white head. Aroma is some pine and spicy hops. While good I was expecting a bit more. Flavor is a heavy malt that kind of covers up the hops used. This is a very heavy beer on the palate and the alcohol is hidden well but again too much malt used and not enough hops presence. I am liking this less as it warms up.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is citrus with a touch of pale stone fruit. Med body - somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Flavor approaches juicy with a touch or more of grapefruit. It's quite nice, but for me the flavors aren't individually super strong. Overall the flavor is strong. The malt/caramel support is detectable but not intrusive. Either a bit of heat or some hop burn. Likely the latter.

Can. Pours a clear orangish gold with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of pine with some resin and grass supporting plus a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has a good amount of resinous pine with some grapefruit peel and a sweet grain backbone.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 7/27/2016. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden yellow/amber color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, honey, lightly toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, honey, lightly toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness; with lingering notes of tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a good malt bitterness balance initially. Moderate dryness from bitterness, strongly increasing through the glass; leading to lasting bitterness and some hop astringency, but not too overwhelming. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, sticky/resin/rindy, and fairly creamy/grainy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden, only a mild warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an excellent DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, and despite the lasting bitterness. This was far less malty and more bright/bitter on hops than I remember the base beer. Quite juicy as well. Would have been even better without the hop astringency, but was still very enjoyable.

Pours an orangeish-yellow with nice-sized, lasting head. Aroma is very fruity and promises a lot that the flavor just doesn’t deliver. Extremely bitter and very little else going on. I’m concerned I got hold of a bad bottle here, but I’m not seeing the tropical fruit or citrus or much of anything but a very bitter, grassy flavor, with some underlying alcohol/booziness. I don’t really care for it.
