It's no mystery as to why this beer tasted like liquid choccy digestives. But we'll give you a clue; this dark brew contains heaps upon heaps of chocolate and biscuit malt in the lusciously rich mash.

On closer inspection as this fantastically quaffable porter warms up it reveals cold brew coffee, oaty granola and an abominable amount of chocolate biscuits.

16/1/2019. Cask at The Firkin Alehouse, Folkestone. Pours black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of chocolate, biscuit, nut, malt and dried fruit. Moderate sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slick velvety texture, very soft carbonation. Was from the bottom of the cask, and had just the slightest of tartness to it, but still good.

Decent ok and easy drinkable porter. Black pour with a fine tan head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Fine carbonation level, easy to drink. Coffee, roast, toffee and coffee are the most prominent flavors.

44 cl can @ Konttori. Aroma has English hops and toffee. Flavour has English hpps, cpffee and some toffee tones. Too much English hops for me.

Keg at Bow Bar. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, nuts and wood. Flavour of blueberries and treacle. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Well rounded and easy drinking. This would be well suited to cask.

Can, many thanks 77ships! Hazy brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, petrol, soy sauce. Taste is chocolate, umami, soy sauce, light roast. Oily mouthfeel, a bit watery, low carbonation. Decent, classic British Porter.
