I steer clear of the pumpkin spice whatever most of the time due to the spice bitch slap most of them seem to feel is necessary. But... seeing a sour and a Smokestack I had to give it a shot. This pours murky orange gold. Nose of Ginger, cinnamon and honey, all poured over some (mild) old socks. Taste is sweet cinnamon with a mild malt and mild, mild funk. The balance is off, it need a bit more bite, but for a category not bad.

Pours hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt. light funky/tartness and pumpkin pie spices. Taste is light to medium sweet and light sour with a long slightly dry, light tart and pumpkin pie spiced finish.Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A- Pumpkin, spice, tart, mild brett. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Pumpkin, brett, spice. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- A unique beer for sure. About a year of age on it. Definitely a funky pumpkin ale and it works. Not bad.

Lys brun lett tåkete med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter ingefær, pepper, trevirke, gresskar, kokte gulrøtter og noe aprikos. Middels fyldig. Kompleks. Smaker ingefær, pepper, sure bær, syrlige epler, gresskar og kokte grønnsaker.

Medium white head. Clear coppery, still body with lots of little floaties. Spicy funky cinnamon aroma with earthy waxy nutmeg notes. Sweetish and lightly acidic spicy funky earthy taste with cardamom barnyard notes. Mid-bodied. Coarseish, fizzy mouthfeel. Dryish-acidic funky cinnamon and cardamom aftertaste with cloudberry and ginger notes. Very nice. Full of flavour, yet transparent, extremely complex, yet harmonic. (0.75l bottle, from wine monopoly.)

750 c&c from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours golden copper with a white head. Aroma lead is Brett. Followed by mild pie spices. Med body or so. Flavor is funky/Bretty with pie spices and what seems to be some veg. Gourd thing. With a little time the Brett and spice seem to be about equal in flavor strength. "Pumpkin" ale seems much better with Brett than without. Fairly quaffable. Pretty dry. Very mildly bitter - more Brett than hop I’d say. Flavorwise.

Taste is slightly dry sour-ish grassy, weeds, fruit stones, oak, sour grass, cranberries, soda powder, cardamom, pumpkin, bark, minerals, cola, sorrel, cloves. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish spiced mouthfeel. Nice and interesting.
