Got this for Election Day, but today it's going to be used for fantasy baseball instead.

Bottle from a local market in San Diego. Hazy dark golden with a large white head. Quite malty with hops, caramel, grapefruit and some grass. The body was medium as was the bitterness. Felt a bit tired.

22 ounce bottle. Hazy medium gold color. Small creamy white head. Nose is sweet malt and rotted citrus. Flavor is tart citrus, liked old orange juice. Bready notes with a touch of tangerine. For an IPA, the citrusy hops are quite subtle. Some bitterness in finish. A it of a disappointment. Not up to the usual Clown Shoes standards.

650 ml bottle purchased at One Stop Market. Bottled: 8/31/2016. Orange in color with thin lasting head. Aroma is mild caramel, weak fruit, notes of pine resin.

The tropical fruits are melding with the malt at this point. It is riding the line of becoming overly sweet. The pine resin is found in the finish with a fading bitterness. Body and texture are still good. If you have a bottle of this you better drink it soon.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/12/2016. Pours lightly hazy deep medium orange/light copper color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lemon, lime, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, papaya, passion fruit, melon, pear, berry, light pepper/pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright/juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, lime, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, papaya, passion fruit, melon, pear, berry, light pepper/pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, papaya, passion fruit, melon, pepper, pine, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of bright/juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, and lightly creamy/grainy/resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as exprected of 6.85%. Overall this is an outstanding IPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of bright/juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very easy to drink with the very smooth bitterness. A highly enjoyable offering.
