Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear amber with a finger of white foam that lingers. Nose is nice with lots of pine, dank and citrus aromas. Palate is more of the same, but feels a bit light-bodied. Flavors are as advertised.

Bottle, slight haze on a dirty lemonade color. First taste is nasty uniquitous IPA bordering on IIPA then double Impy IPA. I bought this thinking it was a simple APA but didn't see the word india after the american, heheheh. Big dull large and in charge bitter kick in the palate like a mule. Forget about co2 and the nose, this taste is so arrogantly rude I don't even care if it has any. Anywho, there is a tad of flatr co2 and the aroma is that of a mild candy dripping perfume of floral hops bullshit, at least there is no BO to disappoint me. Like IPA? Ignore my numbers and buy it you bitter lover.

Bottle. Damnit, Shorts... why does everything have to gush? Yup... this one foamed over onto my folks’ counter during our Thanksgiving visit. Nothing like that sort of smooth move to ingratiate you to the fam... I cursed and feared an infection, but it passed the sniff test... a bit of resin and some grain dust is about all I get. No nasties so far. Pour is a ever-so-slightly hazy gold with a... well... gushers head. Tentative first sip isn’t great, but it’s not noticeably infected... so that’s a start. I circle back around and try again and I get a bit of a medicinal edge to it, but other than that it is decent enough... resin and grain and all that. I was really hoping to put down the hostilities with Shorts... seems like I can’t catch a break with them and end up getting far more gushers and off beers than good ones. This one is on the spectrum but it’s decent enough to past muster, but not get a second look.

Rich copper coloured body with an orange glow and a rather large, three centimetre tall off-white head that fades fairly quickly and leaves a very ugly lace on the glass. Aroma of fresh hops, clay, grass, bananas and some light funk. Medium-bodied; Assertive fresh hops up front with a herbal and floral note coupled with some earthy malt, caramel and grain - not too typical for the style. Aftertaste shows some sweetness, grain and dry notes and a lot of hop bitterness throughout. Overall, a solid IPA with a nice fresh character that separates from the traditional PNW hops in style, but leaves a nice complexity. Great to try, and while everyone will try to find this, i’m sure, not as good as some of their other beer and truly, not amazing. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased as a full six pack from the Seaway Party Store in Grand Haven, Michigan on 09-September-2015 for US$11,19 for the six pack, sampled before in Michigan at my true home of Michigan, but also at new home of Washington on 16-November-2015.
