Bohemian Pilsner
A light bodied, yet full flavored and extremely refreshing pilsner. The nose is surprisingly prevalent, comprised of big aromas of freshly milled grain and hearty flour like fragrances, which seem exaggerated by the natural lager yeast esters. Grain flavors continue and dominate the initial tastes embodying all the characteristics of liquid bread. A crisp finish is accentuated by a resounding bitterness that lingers but never turns dry.

32 ounce howler into lager glass, filled today(1/20/2014). Pours slightly hazy golden straw color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big pear, apple, grape, lemon zest, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of malt, yeast ester, and light hop notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, pear, apple, grape, cracker, bread, honey, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of pear, apple, grape, lemon zest, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of malt, yeast ester, and light hop flavors; with a great malt/yeast balanced and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Czech pilsner! All around good balance and robustness of malt, yeast ester, and moderate hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Sampled on draft at GTMW 2011. Pours a clear golden color with a large creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, grainy malts and an earthy note. The taste is grainy, nutty malts, grassy hops and a sweet finish. Medium bodied. Very nice.
