Keg at the Head of Steam, Leicester. Drk gold and a bit hazy, with a thin and uneven white head accompanied by a fair bit of lacing. Smells of overripe tropical fruits accompanied by a gluey resin that tends to appear in Stevens Point beers. Tastes bitter and quite medicinal, but there's a pleasant underlying fruity sweetness. Long bitter, astringent and resinous finish. Very heavily carbonated. Hard to get too excited about it.

2nd September 2017
Hazy gold amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is minerally crisp. Smooth creamy sweet malts. Mellow pine. Mild citric peel bitterness and a touch of fresher citrus. A little more malt sweetness on the finish. Has a decent balance and it's hoppy enough to satisfy.

Bottle from GBBF 2017 and drunk at home. Clear dark amber colour lasting cream head. A bit of toffee. But mostly hop. Good resin piney hop. Some bitterness on the finish. It’s a decent hoppy toasty toffee flavour with some hop bitterness on the finish.

From a bottle this is almost clear yellow light amber. Smell is big dull wallop of ipa aroma. Taste is yes, big dull ipa thud, fer sure. Mouth coating bitter happy bullshit. Mouth coating tho it does have a tad amount of co2 in thar. Over the top for this lager lovin brew drinker. I was thinking this would be a little less than IPA considering the brewer but they have mastered the ipa thing fer sure.

12oz bottle pours with a hazy deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a near white head of foam. The aroma initially comes across as tired and old and kind of dusty. As it warms a bit I start to get malty spicy hops, floral hops, a dash of soapiness and then an all too faint earthy tea note at the end of the draw. The taste starts right off with malts and resiny hop bitterness that quickly gets into a firm pine note as well as some bitter floral hops. The malts stay right there and bring up a bit of a biscuit quality midway where an off putting light soapiness is noticed as well. Hmm. This is resiny but lacks some of the body and flavor to give it a bit of balance.

Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a decent hop with plenty of sweet caramel malt. Flavor is more of the sweet malt, the hops kinda disappear. Finish is a nice malt but again I would have like more of the hops to make an appearance. Strictly average and that pretty much sums up this brewer.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear, dark orange with a half finger of off-white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruits with something a bit pissy in there. Taste is similar, lightly bitter. Light bodied with a thin and slick texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Meh, good but not great.

From a 12 oz bottle shared in a hotel room in Rapid City SD. Pours a clear gold with a thick off white head. Resinous nose. Flavors of grass, pine resin and some citrus. Medium bodied, high carbonation, bitter finish.
