Pollen-Nation is a dry hopped (cascades) spiced blackberry hydromel. Pistils of Pollen-Nation are crafted in honor of the industrious honey bees. Responsible for over one-third of the world’s food supply they have worked thanklessly through the ages. Threatened today by Colony Collapse Disorder and other man-made threats, the weight of the world is getting a little heavier for the honey bee. Raise a glass and join the Pollen-Nation!

Bottle, 6%. Clear red with no head. Aroma is honey, berries, fruit and a little perfume. Flavour is honey, berries, sweet, little perfume and a little sugar.

Bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering. Medium head with medium duration. Color is red. Aroma and taste are fruits, honey, berries and has a sweet fruity finish.

Bottle @ Fonefan Summer Gathering. As Pollinator. Clear red without head. Aroma is sweet, honey, sugary and blackberries. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. 180817

Sampled at the meadery this mead poured a reddish color with a small creamy pink-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was cinnamon sugar with hints of berry jam and nutmeg. The flavor was tart berry, cinnamon, faint fruity hops and moderate astringency. Very long finish with lingering cinnamon. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

Cranberry nose, honey underneath. Rose colored, moderate carbonation. Vinous, blackberry, black grapes. Medium body, spritzy. Similar to a wine cooler, enjoyable.
