330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, rapidly diminishing, minimally lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, malty and vinous fruity, slightly woody aroma, hints of caramel, cherry, plum, blue grapes, whiffs of balsamico. Taste is sour, vinous fruity, minimally sugary, caramel malty, slightly woody, hints of morello, blue grapes, a touch of plum, chocolate, balsamico; slightly dry, woody finish. Watery texture, astringent palate, medium, scattered, mildly prickly carbonation. Nice aroma, not the most complex taste - OK.

On tap at Northern Monk Refectory, pours a clear dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out tart red fruits, Worcestershire, some balsamic, and a hint of oak. Flavour is tart, with plenty of balsamic, Worcestershire, and oak. Very tart, a bit too acetic, but has a nice oakiness. Not my favourite from Verzet.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a tumbler. Opaque dark brown colour, good frothy beige head, completely dissipating, no lacing. Rich aroma, dark fruits, berries, cherries, fortified wine, balsamico, wood. Taste full sour and light sweet, very krieklike, wood, tart. Full-bodied, sticky texture, soft carbonation, sweet and sour aftertaste, fruity acidic, some woody bitterness, alcohol notes.
